tungsten wire

Even small quantities on customer request

Tungsten wire has unique properties as a high performance material, including a melting point of 3410°C. It also has a low vapor pressure at high temperatures and a low coefficient of thermal expansion. Thus, tungsten finds application in a variety of high-temperature products and processes, such as glass-to-metal sealing parts and support parts for lighting and electronics, silicon rectifier bolt mounts, and high-temperature furnace components.

Convince yourself of the quality of our products.

We also supply tungsten wire in small quantities according to customer requirements. We also supply different tungsten alloys, such as those doped with rhenium or potassium, according to customer specifications.

As standard, we have tungsten wires in different diameters and with different surface treatments in stock.

We offer three different surface treatments for tungsten wire. The surface requirement depends on the desired end use.

Black Wire: The surface is "as pressed" or "as drawn" and contains a coating of processing lubricants and oxides.

Wire Cleaned: The surface is chemically cleaned to remove all lubricants and oxides.

Wire polished: The surface is polished, all surface changes and coatings that occurred during the manufacturing process have been removed. With this method, precise control of the diameter can be achieved.

We are happy to offer you other shapes and products made of tungsten on request.

Tungsten Rhenium / Hafnium Carbide Alloy

Historically, tungsten-rhenium alloy wire was primarily manufactured for the thermocouple market, but recent demands for high temperature structural components have forced the development of new processing techniques for W-Rhenium and W-Rhenium with Hafnium Carbide. The addition of hafnium carbide is known to increase the strength of refractory metals. The applications for these materials are in the medical, aerospace, furnace and heat treatment industries.

These alloys, with a melting point of 3050°C and a recrystallization temperature close to 1900°C, are used in aerospace, temperature measurement and friction stir welding applications.
